Hmmm, Jedi can lift heavy things with their mind, have a cool lazor-zord, can kinda see the future and can control minds somewhat.

Spiderman can climb on walls, has spider sense, has immense strength, and the web.

Laser sword > web.
strength at a distance > strength up close
control mooks > climb on walls.

spider sense > kinda see the future, though.

I say Luke wins, likely by throwing a bunch of stuff at spidey till he screws up, and cutting webbing with the lightsaber.

While Spider-Man has defeated "magic" opponents in the past, there usually has been a strong amount of luck involved. I'm going to have to give this one to Luke with having distance attacks, and the up-close weapon. Even spider sense can't help against a force grip.

Hmmm, this is tough. Spiderman doesn't know when to say die, and is willing and able to push past most things to achieve the win. Luke though has the Force in his corner, a lightsaber in hand, and a blaster for when he needs a more "crude" weapon.

Spidey is going to be moving fast, really really fast. And while quick movement is a Jedi trick, Luke never shows a lot of proficency with it. Spidey is also going to be quiping at Luke the whole time. And, if one can disrupt a Force users concentraion, they are basically up a creek without a paddle. Something tells me that Spidey would have that frequency more or less on accident. However, this is Luke freaking Skywalker.

Luke is not just some farmboy anymore. He's had a little taste of the darkside, he's confronted some badies just as big and mean as Spidey has, and he too has come out on top. As long as he can keep it together just enough to shread inbound webbing, and rip apart buildings as Spidey bounces about, he should be able to hold his own. Short range and long, Luke has a bit of an advantage as well. At long range, he has Force powers, at close range, he has his combat precog, lightsaber, and Force enhanced reflexes. Sure, if Spidey sneaks a punch in, Luke is TKO, but until then.

In the end, it's a tight fight, but I think it has to go to Spidey. Spidey is used to odd powers, while Luke is going to default to thinking these are some sort of odd Force powers. Those few moments should be enough for Spiderman to gain the early edge, wrap Luke up in more webs then he can deal with, and then smack him around for a little bit. And let's not even get started on the mess he'd make of Luke if he though Aunt May or MJ was in trouble.

As much as it pains me, Everyone's Favorite Wall-Crawler has this one in the bag.

Interesting......

Webs vs sabers

In a close battle

Spidy pulls it out...

Just like the NCAA Bad round 2 matchup.. Wouldve been better in later rounds...

Spidey? No way! This win goes to Luke.

Luke has dealt with crazier (and wackier) threats than Spidey's laughtrack. After the classic "No, I am your father," nothing can distract him. And that lightsaber is going to cut through any amount of webbing that's slung. Agility is really all Spidey's got going for him, and that won't take him very far.

When push comes to shove, Force choke for the win. I'm not saying Luke won't leave the ring one step closer to the Dark Side, but I am saying he's the one who'll leave the ring.

Man that would be a cool fight.

It depends on which Luke we're talking about when deciding who takes this fight. If it's Jedi Master Luke from the extended universe then Spidey is short. But lets assume it's Luke at the end of the movies, because it makes for a better fight.

It's a classic speed vs. power scenario, Spiderman is going to be coming at him fast, from multiple angles and with sneaky webslinging tactics, but Luke only really needs one hit with the lightsabre and it's all over. Lukes problem is that spidey is really good a disarming people, and has a ton of tricks up his sleeve for distracting people and keeping them busy.

Theres an old Praying Mantis motto that says: "Much can overcome great strength, little can overcome great speed."

I give this one to Spidey

Come on now Josh, how easy is it to unweb your hands, or feet, with a lightsaber? All spidey needs to do is pin him down a little and it's Spider Smack Down time!! Besides, Spidey has stregth as well. Spidey could kill the Hulk if he had to after all. And things like breathing? Come on, Spidey could power through those enough to knock Luke's block off.

First of all, I'm calling shenanigans on Matt's logic. If he's going to employ the "little can overcome great speed" line here, then he has to acknowledge Flash beats Mal.

Second, in order for Spidey's webbing to have any impact on this battle, it has to make contact with Luke's body. And if a Jedi can deflect blaster shots that move at light speed, there's no way in Hades that Spidey's webbing is going to touch Luke.

What was that line from "Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back?" Oh, right. "Don't f--- with a Jedi Master, son."
