But it's been far too long since we've chatted, dear reader, so let m
e open my little Internet store and show you my wares - the latest cool things I've found in the Series of Tubes.- I admit I'm rather fascinated by Washington's Green Grocer. A random selection of fresh, locally-grown produce delivered to my door? Awesome. The downside? You're pretty much stuck with their "mix" of produce for the week, though you can do substitutions. The latest box looked about 50% enticing, though, so I'd need to make a LOT of substitutions. Still, if your grocery bill is growing by leaps and bounds, it might be a good way to control produce spending AND get creative in the kitchen. Think of it like your own little version of Iron Chef. "Tonight's secret ingredient IS...spinach!"
- Given the housing market, it's good to know renting is still a viable option.
- Google Maps now lets you explore the Great Barrier Reef in pretty good detail. Remember, this is the Year of the Reef - save an blue tang near you today!
- It's so comforting to know that our House of Representatives, in these troubled times, can't even handle an email influx.
- Thanks to the very cool people who blogged about the KaBOOM! Playspace Finder and Worldwide Day of Play: Chris Brogan, Wade @ SouthernLiving.com, m hearts nyc, Liz Strauss, and Something Epic.
- Chris Brogan also has a great post on the best ways to network at a conference.
- And via MadThoughts...in case you have a song that, let's face it, just needs more cowbell (or you really want to annoy whoever's in the cubicle next door)...there is a cure.
