HeroClix is dead!

If you didn't see this coming, you must not regularly read this blog.

But for any hardcore fans still holding out hope that HeroClix could return, know now that the game and its engine is dead. Following an announcement from Upper Deck that it'd acquired the rights to all card and miniature games based on Marvel products, it was all but certain that HeroClix was kaput. That was confirmed today when ICv2 reported that Upper Deck is "not looking to acquire the game engine" for HeroClix because they've got their own plan.

And thus died the game.

On a related note, I've now got for sale an REV set of "Ultimates," the silver ring Dr. Doom and Spider-Man 2099 and gold ring Fantastic Four pieces from "Fantastic Forces," the "Marvel 2099" set, the REV and unique "DC Icons" set and the Doom mail-in figure from "Supernova." Any takers? No reasonable offer refused!
