After posting that rant, I e-mailed the chain and told them what I told you: that the loss of these points greatly irritated and confused me. In response, a member of the customer care team reinstated my lost points "as a one time customer courtesy," but cautioned that future points "will be forfeited" in accordance with their Reward Zone Point Annualization policy. And, you know, I should have realized all this because it "was explained in the rules of Reward Zone when you activated your account." Actually, no, but I've got better things to do than argue the finer points of customer reward program philosophy with Jennifer.Because my points were reinstated, I'll continue shopping at Best Buy for now. But my trips to the chain likely will end after I earn my next reward certificate. I'd rather do my electronics shopping online than play this silly game.
